Welcome to the Physical Education and Sports department at Nova Hreod
Pupils working in the Physical Education Faculty will receive tuition in physical activity based on the following 7 distinct objectives: -

In their five-year stay in the school pupils will receive tuition in the following: -
Rugby, Soccer, Cross-Country, Hockey, Netball, Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Fitness Training, Weight Training, Aerobics, Rounders, Gymnastics, Tennis, Badminton, Dance, Softball, Table Tennis, Trampolining and French Boule.
In Years 10 and 11 pupils may opt to take the GCSE Examination in Physical Education, which comprises of studies in six different Sports in great detail (Netball/Soccer, Rounders, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball), Sport and Society as well as Health and Fitness.
Equally each pupil will have the opportunity to represent the School at inter-school fixtures in all the major sports, attend after School Sports Clubs Sporting Enrichment Activities and represent his/her House at House Sports.
It is hoped that through participation in physical activities at Nova Hreod the pupil will leave the school feeling he or she can cope with the physiological demands of work without undue fatigue. Equally, it is hoped the pupil will undertake chosen leisure activities with the maximum of enjoyment.
