Who are we?
Every Nova Hreod parent and teacher is automatically a member of the Parent Teacher Association.
The PTA committee co-ordinates and organises all our fundraising and social activities
Our Aims:

To assist in improving the quality of educational resources by fund raising.

To encourage co-operation between home and school by hosting social activities.
What do we do?
We provide refreshments for sporting fixtures, open evenings and school entertainments and we also run a 50/50 Club. In the past we have regularly hosted popular discos for Year 7 & 8 pupils, run cake stalls, Mother’s Day & Christmas sales, hosted an enormously successful Prom fashion show and held raffles for both parents & pupils. How do we spend the money?
At the start of each academic year staff are invited to submit a wish list of items they would like the PTA to help them buy. The committee review each application on the basis of our aims, the merit of the need and our available funds. Each year we donate between one & two thousand pounds.
What can you do?
You can help your college tremendously in one or more of the following ways:

Come along to our next meeting where you’ll find a warm welcome in an informal atmosphere. We meet once a month, usually on a Thursday evening, in the Community room. Click here for minutes from our last meeting and the date of our next one

Sign up as an occasional helper – even a couple of hours a year would be greatly appreciated. Regular calls to arms are sent out via e mail

Subscribe to the 50/50 club. For just £12 per year you can donate to our funds directly and have the opportunity to win cash prizes, all from the comfort of your armchair. If you haven’t already signed up, do so today. Contact the college or click here for a 50/50 form
By supporting the PTA you will have the opportunity to forge more active links with the college, raise funds for those extras that benefit the students and have fun!

Christmas Bazaar Thursday 20th November 2008
Lots of Christmas gifts, cards & wrapping together with refreshments & seasonal entertainment. Free entry to all from 6.30pm until 9.00pm. Come along and support our fundraising and get in the Christmas mood!

Prom Fayre & Fashion Show Thursday 12th February 2009
Once again we plan to have a catwalk show & side stalls demonstrating everything to do with the School Prom, from dress hire, hair styling, make up, shoes, bags, tiaras & limos. Come along and take advantage of the specials offers available or if you would like to promote your business then get in touch.
